Hi everyone!! Sorry for this seemingly stupid question but I currently have a motorola HD box and Oppo DVD player, both with DVI outputs. I also have a Mits PJ to display these outputs. Do they make a device (other than a receiver/pre-pro. i.e. cheap solution) that can put a 2 into 1 to my PJ so I don't have to constantly switch the DVI cable from the DVD to the HD box? Thanks!! Chad

You want a switcher, not a splitter. You'll have to switch them, but only by pressing a button, possibly on a remote with some switchers.

DVI switchers are rare and expensive. Does your PJ have an HDMI input? If so, you could use DVI > HDMI cables and get an HDMI switcher like this:

Thanks Rupert. How is it that the HDMI switchers are cheap and readily available but DVI switchers are not? Chad

Probably supply and demand. HDMI superseded DVI soon after DVI was first in use. Manufacturers didn't have much time to design DVI switches before HDMI took over.
