Can anyone who owns one of these sets tell me what their contrast, brightness, etc settings are after they've used one of those Avia or DVE calibrations discs. Thanks in advance.

Madkaw, which calibration disc did you use? madkaw 12-30-06, 08:42 AM I used DVE, there are alot of windows in my living room so a couple of the settings were compromises for watching movies at night or sat during the day. nezff 01-21-07, 09:37 AM brightness 31 default contrast 55 sharpness 31 default color 31 default tint 31 default perfect color 31 default temp color high I used Monster cable calibration disc. It actually tells you most color and tint on tvs is set fine from the factory, just not brightness and contrast. I only use bright or natural settings, brilliant is not recommended by mits. jcsprankle 02-02-07, 11:15 AM Has anyone accessed the service menu on this set? I have a friend that does professional calibration on HD sets and he asked if I knew the code to access the service menu. Of course, I don't. Any advice? Mach30SiR 02-28-07, 09:44 PM Just thought i'd bump this to the top and ask if anyone has been able to access the service manual, and if so, what are your settings? I just picked up this TV from CC ($1610 out the door) and would like to tweek it. HD looks really good. The SD looks like crap though, any suggestions from fellow owners? Also are there any "official WD 52631 owners" Threads? Mach30SiR 03-01-07, 07:46 PM Guess this isn't a popular model?? Leggs 03-01-07, 08:45 PM Has anyone accessed the service menu on this set? I have a friend that does professional calibration on HD sets and he asked if I knew the code to access the service menu. Of course, I don't. Any advice? Service menu access is MENU 2 4 5 7 Video test patterns accessed by fast forward and rewind VIDEO to scroll options UP or DOWN to change values ENTER to save a change EXIT to get out without saving I don't use it for anything checking lamp hours; the menu looks like it needs professional tools and expertise to exploit. As to the question about what to do about SD; I can't find anything that helps much. Try to stay with programs that have better bandwidth because this set is just brutal about showing video shortcomings. Some SD programs are better than others. lipepuko 08-29-07, 07:45 AM I would also like to ajust settings on mine. just got one for $1000 at EX. where can i get one of those calibration discs? that sounds cool... nezff 08-29-07, 08:33 AM I would also like to ajust settings on mine. just got one for $1000 at EX. where can i get one of those calibration discs? that sounds cool... you can get one anywhere. just google dve or monster calibration disc. Hipnotiq 08-29-07, 11:50 AM you can get one anywhere. just google dve or monster calibration disc. Go rent the movie "Inland Empire", it has a calibration option on it that seemed to work pretty good. Husker Z 11-25-07, 02:15 PM Does ANYONE make adjustments through the PerfectColor thing? |
