Who is your ISP? What router are you using? Because of the router my ISP provided, I had to switch the encryption method to connect.

Can I still find 1.3 upgrade some where? I have changed my ps3, back to 1.1, and if I can use CDR or DVDR to do so?
Please advise? it is for 20GB version so should I use USB storage or CD ROM

I finally found 1.32 as I had discarded one 60gb with 1.5. loaded on a usb storage precisely as folders desribed and it upgraded. Now I have 1.32, I did not wanted to connect to interneas it will make it 1.51. This is 20GB, now so did not take memory stick. now i have paied my remote control too

Another option is if you have a router in some other part of the house. Buy a long ethernet cable and snake it through the house to the PS3 temporarily just long enough to download the new firmware. Lowes sells 100' ethernet cables for $29.99 and 50' ethernet cables for $19.99.
