I currently have a 42" Plasma TV and would like to invest in a DVDO VP30. The only real question I have is how well will this work for cleaning up SD material (The VP in my TV stinks...). HD Content looks amazing, but SD needs some work. Im not expecting a lot, just something.

It will get rid of jaggies, but if your interested in cleaning up mosquito noise, macroblocking and other artifacts that run hand in hand w/ compressed signals you might want to look at the Algolith solutions like the mosquito or flea.

Make sure you get an ABT102 if you go for the vp30. I was very happy with mine for SD processing.

It all depends if you can get 1:1 pixel mapping on your panel? What panels is it?
