SO whose in charge of your scaling you or your components?
I have an older Pio 503 plasma which is coming our of storage and being installed -- so I've been researching how to get it to play nice with some other basic components -- that all have HDMI... and how to get HDCP into the Pio
All the new components want to be THE SCALER..
I get a new DVD player and it wants to scale the video - I get a new AV Receiver and it wants to scale the video ... I put a scaler in between the components and now and I want to turn off all the scaling but the central scaler -- but to get an HMDI port with HDCP in the PIO 503 -- I need to buy a board like the older Aurora TVP 1000 and guess what it wants to do the scaling --
Now wouldn't it be nice there was an old fashioned manual switch that said on/off for scaling and you could just turn it on or off
I want to be in charge of the scaling not the components
