I've had the set for approximately 2 years. After watching it for about an hour it starts to flash (A white flash). And it gets worse as the set stays on, to the point that i cant watch it. I turn it off for 2-3 minutes and then back on. Stays good for about 20-30 minutes and then begins this flashing again... And there is a flickering noice coming from behind the set on the left side. Have Best Buy coming out to look at it but i have no trust in them...But it is under warranty. Possibly a bulb problem??? This Quickly?? Watch tv at night only... Anyone out there have this problem?? Any help would be great before BB comes buy...
Cheers!!

I having a flicking problem with my 56" Samsung DLP and can't figure out how to fix it, it's very random, seems to be getting worse though. I've had it for 10 months, 3,000 hours on the bulb.

starts up about an hour after being turned on. Gets so bad that its unwatchable. Turn it off until the fan shuts off, then back on. The screen is all black and white flickering, then all of a sudden it goes to normal. Then in about 20-30 minutes the flashing/flickering starts all over...i have no idea what it is... I'm guessing its the bulb, but i would think if it was the bulb it would be flashing/flickering all the time...?? Anyone that has a DLP or knows about them have an idea of what it could be???
With all the electronics in these sets, it really could be anything.
For example, about 2 and a half years in on my 50" first gen HLM, I started getting weird "star fields" when you would turn on the set. The picture would be all black with random white pixels all over the screen. You would have to power cycle it 2-5 times to get it to power up normally.
Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. So I called in, a tech came out and diagnosed it as one of the logic boards. Took about 3 weeks for the replacement part to come in and sure enough, that fixed the problem.
Not to say it couldn't be the bulb, but it could be many things. You can go ahead and buy a bulb and keep it as a spare if it doesn't fix the problem.

still under warranty also so not too worried about it... Just was wondering if anyone else may have had this problem right before the bulb goes?? The flickering is well noticed flashes across the whole screen, to the point where its unwatchable....
