Hi all, maybe somebody can help me out with a strange one here? I am getting intermittent response using my Harmony 360 remote with my HD TiVo box (HR10-250). If I press a key, sometimes the TiVo sees it and sometimes not. I can tell because a little yellow LED will light when the TiVo sees an IR command. Keep in mind, I have been through the "slow response" thread and none of that has helped.

I believe I can explain exactly what is going on although I cannot explain why. I realize this probably sounds crazy, but I have tested this over and over again. If I place my hand in front of the remote (blocking a DIRECT IR path), then the TiVo accepts all commands promptly. If I point the remote at the TiVo unit normally from my sofa (without blocking), it misses some of the commands sent. However, if I point the remote directly at the TiVo from a very close distance (about 3 feet or less) it works perfectly. My sofa is a normal distance from the TiVo (~10 ft).

Any ideas on what is happening here?

Have you tried increasing the number of repeats?

Yes, tried increasing and decreasing the repeats with no real difference. If I set it too high (like 3), it will starting getting multiple commands when it receives the command at all. Thanks.

If you stand next to the Tivo and it works fine, it could be that your remote has a bad IR emitter. I have the HR10-250 and I sit back 10 feet and my 880 has no problems sending signals.

Here are the settings that I have found to be optimal on my Tivo.

Repeats: 1
Power On Delay: 300
Interkey Delay: 0
Interdevice Delay: 100
