Where was your RPTV purchased?

Circuit City?

Sears?
Costco?
Sams Club?

HHGregg?
Ultimate Electronics?
Walmart?

Also how was your shopping experience?

Circuit City. So-So experience in getting them to price match. They eventually did but it was a hassle. Great delivery experience. Bought my TV the Friday before Christmas and had it delivered the very next day at 7:30 in the morning.

Bought mine at CC. The in store experience itself was nothing special. Salespeople were helpful, but didn't seem that knowledgable. They did not however seem to have a problem with me tweeking TV settings to check out various models.

My BIG negative experience came with dealing with the CC Advantage protection program. 6 long painful months and 2 light engines before they finally agreed to exchange my TV. ( It was a SONY XBR1 with the green blob).

Wound up buying from tweeter of all places.
I threw out a number to them that was lower than any I'd seen online but higher than hhgregg(they're not local to me so it was pointless)
Basically I took the HHgregg price added shipping to it and offered that to tweeter.
did it on one of the really big shopping days just as they opened in the morning.
They took my offer and I was happy.

BB and no problem in getting them to price match. I've since exchanged that original set (JVC) two times (once for the Sony and another for the same JVC- just in a larger size) with no problems.

Frys.com (HLS6187w when it was REALLY cheap) - I haven't received the TV yet as it's on backorder but I'm supposed to be getting it later this month. If they come through then they've made a loyal customer for life.

My only complaint so far is every time I call their customer service department I'm on hold for a good 15 minutes before anyone picks up.

I 2nd Frys!

Frys is the #1 place to find close-outs too (in-store). If there is recent prior model you're looking for ask a tv salesperson and they'll often have an open-box in back or a local frysstore may have it on closeout. I just bought an open-box Samsung HL-R4266w for $600 out the door today!!!!! Yeah! I got my HL-R4667w there for $700!
