and software sales still dont match hd-dvd? How about posting a link for where this information is available?

Overall sales are low, so why do the relative sales of each format matter anyway? HD-DVD supporters have yammered on for months about this, and still no studios have switched or gone neutral.

So post the figures. Why should we provide proof when you claim to HAVE proof but won't share it?

There are currently 58 announced Blu-ray titles compared to 15 for HD DVD.

If studio support remains the way that it is, Blu-ray will overtake HD DVD in total titles by the end of January and will build afterwards.

Together with the CE support, Blu-ray will overtake HD DVD.

At least this is a theory.

Who knows? but if thing continues this way...in fact, with their million $ invested in a format, all these studios and producers together do not expect to see the sales figures lower than HD DVD one...what would you like them to think now?
People said with pana , the figure would raise..not yet that...then with PS3, the sale would explode..not yet that...then now they 're expecting Pioneer but...
the only hope for 2007is the combo bi-format player :)

I don't know what's worse in this thread...the disrespetful tone used by the original poster, as if something is owed to him, or the fact that a number of you actually took the bait and catered to it...

www.thedvdwars.com is one. There are no sales figures on that site. And for those that depend on that site, BD has clearly closed the gap using that Amazon metric.

can you prove me otherwise?YOU started the thread. The burden is on you, not us.

I would say by looking at both of my local Bestbuys, Blu-ray is without a doubt outselling HD-DVD. In-fact they even have decreased the shelf space for HD-DVD and replaced that space with Blu-ray space. Also, HD-DVD is not represented in the store hardware-wise, except on top of a shelf in the HT Department.

Since there are many more Blu-ray players on the market now compared to HD-DVD players and much more impressive list of movies coming out on Blu-ray in the next 90 days, I am not even sure how much longer HD-DVD can survive. Lots of people say this format war will last a long time, I however think it will pretty much be over by the Fall of 2007, with Blu-ray a clear winner.

Also, this is a classic format war post if I've ever seen one. Good try OP :D
