I have an older WD-62728 Mitsu and a newer Samsung HL-R 61" with some serious gaming lag on it. I want to buy a new model that has better lag reduction and have the cash for it. My main problem is that I'm having a hard time finding a way to SELL my older models. I'd prefer local because shipping these monsters would be a nightmare. Does anyone have any good success stories of finding second owners for our TVs? We seem to go through TVs faster than the general public, and you can't just "stash" a 62" in the closet!

Thx

PS. This is in no way an attempt to offer my TVs for sale here locally. I'm purely asking for advice on how to do it.

I would say making an ad here(in the for sale section), videogon, and ebay are a good start. By far those will get the most traffic and all you have to do is specify local pickup only. Local classifieds could also be another choice, I know always check the paper to see if anything is going cheap. Lastly, I would say if there is a local A/V shop(not a chain) you might want to see if they have a trade up program, if they know anyone in the market for used tvs, or will let you put up a flyeror somerhing. Some of them are cool enough to do that.

craigslist, there is a Pheonix and Tuscan section. Keep the prices resonable and shoot for a quick and easy sale.

You can also post on the 'bay and specify "local pickup only" - worth a shot...
