hi everybody

i am completely new to big screen rear projection tvs. and i just bought the JVC HD-56GC87 from costco yesterday. so i took it home myself connected the power directly to my wall outlet, hooked it up to my regular tv signal and it worked fine. after a few hours the tv decided to shut down by itself with no cooling or anything so i turned it back on and it did the same thing after a few minutes. i decided to unplug it and put it into a surge protector with nothing else plugged in the surge protector, and it gave me the same problem.

so my question is this unit dead? or is there some feature i did without noticing and have to reset it?

I'd exchange it for another one (it's obviously not normal).
