I have had this set for a couple of years with no problems. I have recently switched the hdmi connection from my Toshiba DVD player to a new Dish receiver. When I connected the component cables to the DVD player, I got a visible green tint on all DVDS.

I can't adjust it out using the picture control settings on the TV. According to the manual, I should be able adjust "my color control" on the picture settings, but mine is grayed out. How do I get to that adjustment?

Any other thoughts as to how to get the green tint out of DVDs other than switching the cables back to the way they were.

Also, where is the best place to buy lamps for the set. Mine seems to still be going strong. Not sure where to see the hours on it.

That set has both an HDMI and a DVI input. Why don't you try connecting the Toshiba DVD to the DVI input using an HDMI -> DVI cable? You can that type of cable at monoprice.com for less than $10.
