The quality of the imaged displayed on my Showstopper PV-HS2000 is terrible. The colors seem to be "coming apart" and are blotchy. During dark scenes, vertical colored bands can be seen. I know it is not the tv itself, as watching the same source bypassing the Showstopper displays good quality. I don't know if it is relavent or not, but I recently replaced the harddrive. I didn't notice the poor picture quality right away, so I don't think that is it. I appreciate any advise anyone can offer.

This should be caused by a defective drive. It can also be caused by a bad RF (coaxial) cable or if the built in tuner is defective. Of course, the tuner thing only applies if the Showstopper tuner is used to tune the channels.

I had faint colored vertical bars a long time ago, this was either on a 2K or 3K unit. They were present via S-video, but not there when I switched to composite in.
