I'm just curious what you guys think. I'll be installing a Mitsubishi HD1000U in my family room (read no ambient light control) for some HDTV, but mostly movie viewing at night. My biggest concern is waves. Since I'll be watching almost exclusively at night I'm not concerned with the light issues. Would you recommend one over the other? I'm considering either the DaLite High Power or the Elite Cinetension.

Tab tensioned is the only way to reduce, or eliminate waves in a pull down, so if this is your ultimate concern, there's only one answer. I think some screens are less prone to waves than others, and many (waves) are not seen when the projector is in use, but are quite apparent when not.

Sounds logical and reasonable, thanks CHIA.

The High Power makes waves mainly go away. I seldom see the effect of waves on my High Power and my screen does have waves. It is the only screen I have used, but I understand it is the only one that does make the wave go away.

Thanks for the input Jackmay. That seems to be the consensus on the HP screen.
