I am curious if any of you have any experience scaling a video signal through any of these products via the VGA input. If so, can you comment on the quality of each? In your opinion, which one will do a better job of scaling and result in a better quality image?

While the Plasma Enhancer Pro and DVDO VP30 are similar in price, the TV-One One-Task PC1280 scaler is much less expensive. Is there some sacrifice in the quality/capability of the components here, or is the savings merely a result of them doing away with all the bells and whistles?

Many thanks,

-Christopher

Are we talking about just the scaling engine and nothing else?

Yes, I would like to focus on this aspect since that is mainly what I need the unit for--in particular for scaling a VGA signal. Of course, this question assumes that only a scaling operation would be performed since de-interlacing would be unnecessary. Does that make any sense?

Thanks!
