Hello,
I have a Macbook laptop with the Intel 950 graphics card. I am trying to output 1366 x 768 as it is the native resolution of my TV, but the display settings does not list this as a valid resolution, even when I am plugged into the TV with the mini-DVI port.
Anyone out there that can help with this?
thanks

I haven't tried this with my MacBook, but with my Intel Mini with the same graphics I succeeded using the "tutorial" posted here for using SwitchResX. I suspect DisplayConfigX could also do it, but based on my own attempts and others' reports that seems to be much harder to figure out. Both are shareware; SwitchResX costs a little more, but isn't as crippled (i.e. USELESS) in pre-pay mode as DisplayConfigX is.
I'm using VGA to the TV; some reports suggest that DVI or HDMI connections to the TV may have more difficulty doing this than VGA.

Where is the SwitchResX tutorial?
Thanks

Incidentally, if you have a second computer (Mac or PC) it's a good idea to set your MacBook up with VNC in case you choose settings that cause a blank TV screen. You don't need a VNC server with Mac OS 10.4, since you just need to enable it in Sharing, but it would be good to be sure your other Mac/PC can successfully connect to and "drive" your MacBook before you try using SwitchResX or DisplayConfigX.

If it shows up, you might want to try 1280x720, and see if that upscales to fullscreen.

What TV do you have?
How are you connecting to the TV? DVI? HDMI? VGA?
If you are connecting via HDMI, that might be your problem. I don't think HDMI supports 1366x768. Only 1920x1080; 1280x720; and SD resolutions. At least I think I read that somewhere.
