For some time now, my recordings have been starting about a minute late, and on the DirecTV info that pops on the top of the screen for a few seconds shows that the show started over a minute earlier.
How do I get my replay to match the time of shows on DirecTV?
Only 3 ways I know and it's really only 2 depending on the model:
On any model, setup the shows to start recording one minute earlier. If there is a confliction with another show, you may need to setup manual recordings. A pain, but it works.
On a Showstopper or pre-4k, install the manual-clock image and set the clock yourself
On a 4k or later (might only be a 5k), use Wirns. You can set it to start early and/or end late if there is nothing else recording.
I suppose there is a forth method, but that requires contacting the networks that air the shows too early. It's might be Replay's fault, but I found their time to be a lot more precise than the cable companies. Whenever comparing my Replay time with GPS sources as well as cell phones, they matched up nearly perfect. The cable company, forget about it.
Oh, and the clocks on the Replay do drift a bit. It's not noticable if it updates everyday. If you're only updating every few days, try updating more often.
