Clerks 2, Slevin, and Pulse all coming out on the 16th. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more additions in the next week or two.

Those titles have all been on the release calendar (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=766588) for weeks.

AFAIK, those titles were not officially announced yet until recently.

Pulse?? good lord I hope that is not a title to HELP hd-DVD as that movie was at best a D flick.

The simple fact that Kristen Bell is in it makes this movie better than a "D film". I haven't seen it, but looking forward to it. I love her acting style (OK, and her looks).

sorry man, I saw this train wreck in the theaters. Never have I walked out on a movie, until this steaming pile came along.

Scary? Probably in the next theater, it sure was not in Pulse.
Horror? For paying anything more than 2.50 to watch this Chud. YEP!!
Thriller? If you think walking on a bed of broken glass while all the while the glass is in a solution of salt and water is thrilling. Then a resoundful YES!

Based on the title of this thread I was expecting to read that a BD exclusive is going neutral or that someone other than Toshiba was going to put out an HD DVD player. No, I guess I didn't really expect that but still with a thread title like that it caught my attention. As Grubert already stated, those releases are old news.

PS: I rented Pulse this past weekend and thought it was much better than people give it credit for. And I too like Bell.

How is the thread title misleading in any way? If it were about studio support I would imagine the title including the word 'studio' and a lot more exclamation marks. Regardless, Slevin and Clerks are both definite purchases for me.

Don't forget School for Scoundrels, a MGM/Genius release. It is another HD-DVD exclusive.

People keep saying MGM is exclusive to Bluray, but obviously that isn't correct. Perhaps for catalog titles for the time being, but new releases are a coin toss. Sony owns 20% of MGM, but the MGM board can conduct business as they please. They are partnering less and less with Sony these days (mostly just on big budget films like Casino Royale). The negotiate their own deals and there are several instances where MGM partners for a film and they get theatrical distribution, but their partner gets home video distribution (Lucky # Slevin is another MGM partnership film and a HD-DVD exclusive). So depending on where their partner goes (in this case Weinstein sided with HD-DVD exclusively), you will see new MGM films on both HD-DVD and Bluray. To me this hardly qualifies them to be on the "exclusive to BD" list.
