Has anyone used the Russound Contractor Series speakers? Looking at both the in-wall and in-ceiling "C" Series speakers.

Budget is $100-$150 per pair (Or single Stereo). I have a CAV 6.6 and thought it would be good to use the Russound speakers. Plus, they fit in my budget. I really do not blast music, just normal listening.

(I know I won't get top shelf sound, but for now, I am fine with that.)

The Russound Contractor series speakers aren't bad speakers (we've used them on a number of jobs), but you can find a better for similar or less money.

Take a look at the Proficient Audio line of speakers. They have a single stereo speaker that's a nice step up from the Russound SP-C622. It's the C600TT... for in-wall and in-ceiling take a look at the W670 & matching C620 which are both signifigantly better sounding speakers than the equivilent Russound Contractor models. If these are still stretching the budget, the Proficient W665 & C605 would be a good choice and are still a better value than the Russound Contractors.

Cheers,
Paul

Thank You. I looked at them and they look good and are within budget.

Where can I buy them?

Also,

On the 600TT, do I still run 16/4 to the one speaker?
