Just recently I seem to have acquired a ground loop issue. Any links to threads or guides about this problem and how to remedy it would be greatly appreciated.

Think I found my problem, and I feel really stupid too. Turns out the power strip I had my components plugged into did not have a ground pin on it! Whee! :(
