View Full Version : Glue Hi-Power
Has anyone tried glueing hi-power material to a rigid backing, like 1/4" luan plywood? Although my 'stretched' hi-power is acceptable, I do notice some ripples and sags that drive me nuts. Suggestions on glue types, application techniques would be appreciated - otherwise my next thread may well be 'How NOT to glue hi-power screen material'. :)

I have a friend that has tried about 5 times to glue it up. He has had lots of problems with wrinkles, bubbles etc. when I have been over to view it they didn’t seem to change the image much during viewing but were very noticeable with lights on.
After seeing my self tension frame I made last week he’s planning on building one and using the hi-power over it.
Like I said I haven’t personally tried gluing it but I have seen the results. I might add hes a skilled tool and die maker by trade and normally his work is very precise. So when I saw the wrinkles I knew it must not be easy to do.
