This morning when I got in my car I discovered that last night some scum bag decided that he needed my Roady 2 more than I did. The good news is I now have a new Inno on order. My question is has anyone else had a radio stolen and if so, when you inform XM, will they flag the radio ID so that it will never be able to be reactivated? I plan on calling them but figured I'd wait until Friday when I have my new unit in hand so I can take care of everything at one time.

Wow, Pat. That sucks.

My guess is your reasoning is correct.

That they probably flag that particular radio ID, or the like.

But knowing thieves, there may be away around that.

Unfortunately, people always find a way around these things.

Make sure you get a police report done, and then call them. It is not as if you are trying to get something, but XM may ask for it, and it is good to have. Then just FAX it too them, keeping the original for yourself.

Boy does that blow. I always take my unit out of the car, or at least put it somewhere out of sight.

Good Luck.

Thanks Steelers. I talked to a service rep today to have the old radio turned off and my new one turned on and asked if the old radio could be flagged as stolen so it could not be turned back on. The guy said yeah, but not in a way that gave me a lot of confidence. Oh well on the bright side my new Inno was delivered in one day and seems pretty cool so far.

Sorry to hear about your loss ... Your Roady 2 has better sound than the Inno. I know and I have both of them.

You'll see my brand new Inno on eBay shortly. Looks neat but the sound is marginal. They don't go as loud as a Roady, and you can't use good headphones while keeping the Inno in your pocket.

VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THE INNO

I have not noticed any real difference in the sound of the Inno vs my old Roady. Have you checked the tone adjustments to make sure they are not set way off?

BASS & TREBLE are boosted about halfway up. The real decrease in quality is when you listen to recorded music. The highs sound really smeary going ssshhhh ssshhh sshhhh.

Maybe it was the older Roady headphones I liked. I bought new antenna in the headphones for the Inno. Hate them.... So, I was using Bose QC3's last night and they are so good, they bring out any flaws.

I usually listen to FOX NEWS 80% of the time so I usually don't mnd the marginal sound quality. But I also love Bluesville and I get dissapointed with the sound. Here is what I use the recording function for however.

Whenever I like a song, I record it. Then I make a list of what I want. Then I download it from Rhapsody who I also subscribe to. The sound quality is MUCH better than XM. I then use TUNEBITE to make my Rhapsody files portable.

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO HAVE A PREMIUM SATELLITE SERVICE WITH 20 CHANNELS AND PRISTINE SOUND? It's just like cable TV. Your favorite channels suffer because they try to appeal to everyone.

I know Sirius will flag the stolen radio so it'll never be turned back on again so I have no doubt XM will do the same.

I would love to see the look on the thief's face when he tries to turn it on! ;)

Sorry to hear about your Roady. Just call XM to report the theft but make sure you have your Roady's serial number. I wouldn't give that b*st*rd 15 minutes of XM entertainment. I have my Roady's serial number stored in my cell phone just in case.

Oh by the way, one of the reasons I choose the Roady XT is that it can be converted into a portable with the Belkin Portable Audio System F8E724. Haven't tried it yet but I like the versatility of this little unit. Just a thought since you were interested in the Inno. Good luck with your next XM radio.
