I picked up one of these ( http://aroganworld.blogspot.com/2007/01/psyclone-wii-chill-station.html) recently from Circuit City for $20. I'm still not sure how effective or even necessary something like this is but I'm a bit concerned how warm the Wii gets during stand by mode (not while playing). My son bought one as well @ CC. I liked the fact that it could hold the controllers so they didn't end up stepped on or chewed up by the dog (like my wife's cell phone). I figure that any 'chill factor' is just a bonus. Both my son & I really like the way the blue light from it looks in the dark -- cool!!
