Just got a VP30 and in the near future I plan to hook a HTPC up to it. Display is a plasma. A few questions:

The inputs in the VP30 are HDMI. I know there are HDMI to DVI connectors. I assume there are DVI to HDMI? Or do you just turn the cable around :) ?

Should you output a standard resolution from the computer (one that is closest to the plasma's native resolution) to the VP30 and let the VP30 scale? Or should you use something like Powerstrip to output the plasma's native resolution from the HTPC? If you output the plasma native resolution from the HTPC does the VP30 just do a pass through?

Just use a DVI-HDMI cable. Make sure the plasma can handle 1:1 pixel map on digital input (HDMI or DVI). You probably will not be able to output any interlaced signal via digital output on your HTPC, so the plasma panels native resolution probably will be the best option.

Thanks for response Gard.

The plasma will accept 1:1 pixel mapping. So does the VP30 just pass through the signal when it is native?
