Well, I gave in to the sale price at PE and placed an order for the 15" Titanic kit - 1000W plate amp. I'm figuring that worst-case, I can build another box and/or replace the driver with something different later. OTOH, if I really like it, it's inexpensive enough that I can get another one for the other side of the room (I've already got the wiring in the wall for it, so why not?). :D

The room is about 2200 cf (24x12x7'9"), and the use is mixed music and HT. Does anybody have any experience, tips, or suggestions to share for assembling and configuring and/or tuning this beast? Any thoughts on exactly what I can expect from it? I know I'll have to tame the ~80Hz hump to get a good flat response; anybody got any history with this that they're willing to share?

I've also got the RTA software and reference mic on the way for tuning, so I'm assuming it should be fairly straightforward....famous last words.....
