So I can get a VP50 or a Crystalio II, If i go for the Crystalio II It will cost me ~1'300$ more than the VP50 which is quite a lot of money, so do you think the extra cash is worth spending on the Crystalio II or the VP50 will be just fine.

I will be using the scaler on a 40inch 1080P LCD, Samsung DVD Player, PS3 & HTPC.

One thing I was really looking for is noise reduction capabilty and i think VP50 doesn't have any, other than that for a newbie like me they pretty much seems similar in terms of feature... maybe someone who know both can give me some advice.

Thx

IMO the noise reduction facility on the C2 is good, but you don't get something for nothing. Detail is lost.

I find it slightly odd you need noise reduction - I wouldn't want to feed a decent piece of kit anything other than a decent signal.

I've seen a C2 driving a 1080p 40" LCD (at Henry's of crtprojectors.co.uk over here), and it looked very good. My own unit is used with a Marquee CRT PJ.

I can't comment about the VP50 (please don't take that as being a negative remark - I haven't seen one!).

Thx for the feedback.

Well maybe it was comming from the Denon 3930 upscaling but i saw a lot of backround noise with upscaled DVD (1080P), maybe this what you get when watching SD on a 1080P screen.
