Hi Folks,
anyone using a ISCO II lens with either the HD1000U or HD70?
I currently have the NEC LT150 with ISCO II and Firehawk 100" screen.
Please let me know if it is going work, ok?
Thanks,
Rodrigo

Unfortunately, Mits doesn't offer CIH scaling options like Optoma and Infocus. You'll need an outboard scaler of some sort.

I'm not aware my NEC LT150 has CIH and I use the ISCO II with great results.
I always thought the DVD player was responsible for stretching the image vertically.
Am I wrong?

I always thought the DVD player was responsible for stretching the image vertically.
If your DVD players does it now, then you should be ok. What player is it?
If you want to get into HD media, you'll have to look further.

I have a Philips now but have used HTPC, a Pioneer Karaoke, and a few other with no issues. I was more concerned about the lens diameter (LT150 is about 2 inches) and throw ratio. (LT150 is famous for its short throw).
I'm planning to use the new projector with an OPPO player.
The ISCO II lens works better w/Long Throw Projectors.

I found this in the user's manual of the Optoma HD70 nut not in the HD1000U...
If you use an external 16x9 lens, this LBX mode also allows you to watch a 2.35:1 content (include Anamorphic DVD and HDTV film source) that support anamorphic wide is enhanced for 16x9 Display in a wide 2.35:1 image.
In this case, there are no black bars, the full lamp power and vertical resolution is fully utilized for maximum viewing
effects.
Other than these two occasions, one should stay with 16:9 and 4:3 modes for most viewing experiences.

Right - Optoma Projectors support both vertical stretch and horizontal squeeze.

By looking at larger pictures of the HD70 the lens seems to be further recessed inside the case compared to the LT150.
It may cause problems as well with the ISCO II lens.

If that is the case I may decide to sell the lens...
