Anyone know who the HD1000 dealers are in Canada? I went to the Mitsubishi Canada site, but they want to know just about all your personal history before releasing any information. You'd think they would want to sell projectors and list the dealers on their site. I finally sent them an email, but no word back yet aside from a form email. A strange company. Do they really want to sell projectors in Canada?

I just went through this search myself.
I called the number on the Mitsubishi site you were on (the one with the extensive form that no one would want to fill out) and was referred to Precor who distribute for them in Canada. I reached someone at Precor who gave me the name of one store in Toronto.
I had spent ages looking around for a retail outlet (as opposed to online which I wanted to avoid) and the one in Toronto who carried it were out of stock and they unfortunately had a very high sticker price, which is no fault of their own since the Canadian distributor has not followed suit with it's American counterparts by lowering the suggested retail price. I won't quote it in here but it was a good deal more than the States (and that's after conversion).
One thing the Precor person told me was that anything brought in from the States would not be covered by warranty in Canada.
I ended up going with another make and model that I could get at a retail outlet because I am $tingy and impatient!
