I'm interested in these two movies from xploitedcinema.com. However, considering the not too great quality of BD version of XXX, I'm a leery in buying these titles. Are they actually better on HD DVD (a'la Total Recall)? or they are only as good as the BD counterpart? (if they are, then I'll just get the BD version).

Cheers.

Who distributes Killing Me Softly here in the US? Any chance of it coming to HD-DVD here?

Looks like its MGM in US, so only Blu-ray at the moment.

Why does everyone keep saying MGM films are Blu-ray exclusive?

School for Scoundrels was a MGM/Genius film, but it is an HD-DVD exclusive. Casino Royale is an MGM/Sony film, but it will be a Blu-ray exclusive. So obviously MGM films will be available in both formats.

Weinstein has the distribution rights for School for Scoundrels.
And MGM is only supporting Blu-ray.

Alright I got a chance to watch xXx yesterday night. Overall it a pretty good transfer. There are a few moments to pop off your screen and a few that look overly grainy. The majority of the film looks good though, not great. I haven't seen the BD version of it to compare but i watched the superbit version and it's a definite improvement.
