i have a comcast motorola hd dvr box (grey) hooked up to a panasonic 37-px60u in san francisco.

pressing the 'zoom' button on the comcast remote does nothing. on my previous setup (similar box with hitachi hdtv) the 'zoom' button changed the aspect within the motorola box. the aspect button on the tv remote works but i thought the 'zoom' button on the motorola remote would change the aspect of the signal being sent to the tv like it did for me before.

can anyone tell me why it may not be working now?

is there a way to reprogram a button on the motorola remote to change the aspect through the tv... like the tv remote does?

The zoom Function only works in TV mode for only a few TV models.

The only way to change video output settings on the STB is via the user menu. (power off (standby mode) and then press menu.

There is no way to change the STB video signal from the software.
