I have 1 tv in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. Is it possible to splice in a 2nd sensor bar and av cables and run those through the wall to the tv in the bedroom. I would like to keep the unit in the living room and when the kids want to play it on their tv in the bedroom all they would need to do is come into the living room and put in the game they want then play and take the wiimotes into their room.
Thanks Rick

Sensor bars can be detached and powered by AC or DC as found in other threads here. I would recommend using a switch box for components to do what you want instead of splicing anything. The other thing is to make sure the bluetooth can reach the unit. Otherwise this should work.

Thanks, I will check out the threads for the 2nd sensor again. I was just wondering if it would be easier to splice the sensors rather than hooking up a separate power supply for it. As for the AV cables your right! I have a couple of switch boxes.
Thanks

i think splicing the sensor bar wires would be a PITA, especially since so many people are complaining about the fine copper strands not sticking to solder. i would guess that you would also likely have problems with power to the 2nd bar, as the wires are small and long distances would not help, especially when trying to power 2 bars at the same time. i would recommend getting a wireless sensor bar as the most convenient solution.

although it does run on batteries, it will probably last quite a while as they may not be using it all the time. i have heard build quality is slightly questionable on that particular one, so you can build your own if you like, or wait until a 3rd party manufacturer gets one out, (i think at least 1 company has officially announced plans).

I was able to power mine with a 9-volt battery (which doesn't destory it) and then later upgraded to use a plug with a transform ($10 from a local electronics store. the transformer came with variable voltage and multiple plugs, including a 9-volt batter cap which I just plugged in place of my 9 volt battery).
