Black Banshee

Hey guys, I've been lurking for almost two years and am in the planning stages of my first dedicated home theater. My new home is under construction and I'd like to start my own thread to get some questions answered.
I've searched for a half hour and can't find any specifics on how to post large pictures like Sandman does for his thread? Do I have to pay for a service to upload these large pictures and link to them? Can you recommend a cheap (or better yet free) site for this?
thanks a bunch

i just started uploading myself. Photobucket is the site i used. it is free and easy. you just have to know where on your computer your photos are stored. once your photos are uploaded copy the url for the pic at photobucket and paste it like this
yourphotobucketurlhere and preview your post. The pics should show
hope this helps

Thanks fordfisher, is there a max size you can place in photobucket? Will it link to large pics like many other guys have in their threads?
I tried to link to pics in shutterfly, and it shows up but the pics displayed are small.
I have some layouts and concepts I want to show, and the small pics just won't cut it.
Thanks for the help!

Nevermind - just looked at some of your posts fordfisher, those pic sizes will probably work. Thanks again!

Don't waste time sizing the pics, Photobucket does it automatically when you upload.

Your welcome Black Banshee, I asked the same question a little while back and the guys here were nice enough to help. Just passing it on. BTW what is your avatar?

My avatar is a vehicle called a Banshee from one of my favorite video games (Halo). My home theater will also be a gaming lair...
thanks again for the help

This is not really on the same subject but has to do with posting photos.
If you are posting allot of pics at a time, this macro for Windows may come in handy. Simply unzip then...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Highlight the image location and copy (or control+c)
Double (or single, depending on your pc settings) click on the img.exe file
You have a few seconds to click in the "message:" area you want your link to go in your message.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It takes your image location, adds the code, and then paste it in for you (control+v). I'm not going to say it's compatable with all Windows OS, and of course you should use at your own risk.
It's very simple to use and this was extremely easy for me to make. I used it months ago to post about 6 or so images in two separate replies with the quickness. I wouldn't use it really that often and typing is more fun, so linking it to a hot-key may not be the best thing to do unless your in a hurry to post a few photos.
