Anybody get the Sony and the Lumagen to handshake with user EDID settings so that you don't get the "green" screen appear on the Sony when it boots? Currently I have to go into the Sony's setup every time and manually reset YCrCb for the handshake to work with the Lumagen...

I only used the HDMI/DVI output of the S1 with my Lumagen HDP and never had a green screen problem. The only time I used the component outputs of the S1 into the HDP didn't create any color problems but didn't have as good a PQ especially for SD DVDs. Note that using HDMI/DVI requires setting the S1 color space to 16-235 to get proper black levels. NOTE also that a problem many have with the S1 is that when turned off it resets itself to the default DVI color space of 0-255 even though 16-235 remains checked in the menu. So if you use HDMI, 16-235 has to be selected again after power on for the S1.
AH ok - this must be the problem - YCbCr remains selected but it's reverted to RGB. *sigh*
Thanks for the info.

Bump.
A few months on and I still have this issue. Is anybody currently and successfully handshaking YCbCr out of the Sony with a Lumagen? If so, how? If not, Sony must be aware of the reset problem - when will we see a fix?!

Mark, I have the same problem with my Pioneer Elite BDP-HD1, Lumagen Vision Pro HDP, and DVI display. I have the "YCbCr" selected in the HD1's "HDMI Color" menu. When I power the player off then on again, I get the green screen. I have to go into the menu of the player and select "YCbCr", even though it remains highlighted.
Interestingly, I can get a picture when the Lumagen is set to either YCbCr 4:4:4 or YCbCr 4:2:2 Is that your experience as well? I would be curious to know which setting you found displaye a better picture?
Thanks.
