Anyone know of a Mac tool to join avi files? I have several that I'd like to make into a single file (vs a playlist in VLC).
I've tried SplitFuse, but the audio was garbled in the joined file.
Thanks,
Mike

Are the files all part of one file? IAC, I use several programs and one or more of them usually work in any situation. They are: AJoiner, Merger and Split & Concat. IIRC, all are freeware. Good luck.

These are separate video files.. ie. part 1 and part 2 of a show. I do not believe (but would be happy to be wrong) that a simple unix concat will be enough :(

I use visualhub to do it.

All the programs I mentioned should work if these are parts of one big file.

These are 2 distinctly different files, recorded at different time (ie. 2 weeks apart). So no, they are not part of one big file.

I use visualhub to do it.
Does it have a simple join ability vs. wanting to join AND convert/trans-code? ie. a Video pass-thru? (I see audio pass-thru)...
Thanks,
Mike

Just found a free (and simple) answer... mencoder... the joys of having unix under the hood :)
mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy -idx -o output.avi video1.avi video2.avi

Does Rosetta (or Rosetta Stone) still exist for OS X? I seem to recall using that program on my old G3 laptop to join files together rather seamlessly and for free.

good ol' Mpeg Streamclip is the easiest to use full-featured all around tool for this and many other video tasks.
