Hi guys...

I have a problem regarding getting sounds from the PS3 and need some quick help!!

The PS3 works flawlessly till now...coupled with my Elite Pro 1130HD! Problem is that I'm using the Parasound A23 and P3 separates and they do not have Toslink!

So ...I have no sounds!

I connected the PS3 to the media box of the 1130HD using HDMI but how can I get the sound through my Parasounds?

The setup I have is:

Tosh HD-DVD -> HDMI (for video) -> Elite 1130HD Media Box
-> Stereo -> Parasound PreAmp

How can I connect the PS3 to my Parasounds??

Thank you!
Emanuele

I have a similar setup and what I have done up to now is go with everything hdmi into my Panasonic plasma and then use the analog audio out on the back of the tv to go into my Parasound P3 for my 2 channel sound. I cannot vouch for what happens to the sound in the tv but it is excellent. I notice that my HD-A2 HD-DVD player automatically outputs 2 channel to the tv so all the processing (as far as I know) takes place in the player which is a good thing.

Other benefits are that once I am includng the tv in the loop there is no preamp (P3) switching if I am using any source into the tv. Bad news is that it makes it hard to listen to a cd on the HD-DVD player without having the tv on. Not a big deal for me so it works great.

Thank you so much....Jonesky!

Problem is that my Elite 1130HD, behind the media box, has no analog out apart from a section called MONITOR OUT (audio)! I'm not sure if that is the correct output....

bshplt, I'm a Parasound owner, and moderator of Club Parasound. I have my PS3 connected to my Parasound Halo C1 processor via optial, and it sounds great.

I understand your issue... can you connect the analog 2-channel output from the PS3 (provided with it in the box) to your P3? If not, you'll have to find something that can input a digital optical signal, but output analog 2-channel audio.

That's kind of cool... PS3 with P3.
