Now that I have a reciever and DVD player capable of playing them, I am thinking of taking the plunge and buying a couple SACD or DVD-Audio titles.

Problem is, most of the music I like to listen to is old, say, pre-1995. Is it pointless to look for older releases in these formats? And where would I find them?

I listen to mostly 80s and earlier 90s rock and metal, such as:

Metallica
Pantera
Motley Crue
Dokken

And much more obscure stuff as well. Should I bother? Very little of what I've seen in the two formats are things I actually listen to.

Hi "sonny", actually "pre-1995" is pretty recent for SACD and DVD-Audio. The following links show the best-selling rock/pop DVD-Audio and SACD titles at one on-line store.
