I'm planning on getting a VGA cable so that I can play 1080p games through my Xbox 360 (might also get HD-DVD Add-On), but the problem is I already have an HTPC in my living room connected to my Samsung HL-R5078W. Then, I saw this on Monoprice:

Would that work out, so that I can have my Xbox 360 and HTPC on the same monitor? I could bother switching the cables, but my HTPC needs to be on when I'm playing the Xbox 360 or else I wouldn't be able to play on Xbox Live (bridging Xbox 360 wired to HTPC Wireless)

Does that TV have DVI? If so, why not DVI-out from your PC instead of VGA?

If not, that switch would work.
