So the problem we have with watching our ripped DVD's is we only get a 30 second skip. I found a way to get full ffwd and rewind. I found a program called VOB2MPG and another free program called Tsconverter. VOB2MPG is pretty straight forward on what it does. Tsconverter converts a mpg to DVR-ms. Using both of these programs combined takes ten minutes. I have went through these programs with two of my ripped DVD's and it works. The only thing I noticed is the movies were bigger. A 5.99 gig movie ended up being 6.16 gigs. I don't think we will still get subtitles and I haven't been able to test if it keeps the 5.1 surround. I'm in the middle of painting my house and only have the bare essentials out for use so I'm not using my receiver.
All I know is I can fast forward and its pretty smooth.
I would like if someone with a receiver can test to see if 5.1 passes through.

Are you using these with transcode 360 or with the dashboard?

So you just use these to programs to convert the VOB for use with MP11?

You have a ripped movie -> convert with VOB2MPG-> with that file you convert with TSconverter.
I know it works with Windows Media center pc's. I have windows media center 2005 so I don't use wmp11, I use mymovies. I don't know if you can watch DVR-ms's from a xp machine.
