Hi again all. I have what amounts to a "noobish" question.

Is it possible to connection HDMI through your television set for video only, then run audio through an A/V Processor?

I have an Outlaw 990 with no HDMI connection and a television with 2 HDMI connections. I would like to use the HDMI connection from an OPPO DVD player to the television and the optical connection to the processor. Are there any better "bets," would this work and what would the process look like?
