my current cable provider SUCKS
beginning of rant begins here:
cable box is ****!
what it lacks:
svideo FFS
coax audio EH (can i at least get a digital audio stream)
component video (not really needed for SD programming)
digital programming is lacking:
analog looks like ****
digital looks good when you can find a digital channel (not knowing if they are digital i am counting the ones w/o snow :O even the ones over 100 look teh suck besides a few)

all in all
insight "digital" you suck

my crt with SD tuner is freakin nice 5.1 dolby from most programming
PQ is great with NO snow
all i get is abc nbc and fox and pbs and the music channels they all look/sound great

my problem is why insights PQ isnt that good sattelite was great PQ was great and had an s-video output... i think it truly was digital unlike insights false statement

i think we will switch back to dish soon

Someone on my local forum posted his opinion (?) as to the cause of poor quality on some supposed "Digital" channels in their new 2.0 format. (probably true)

Locally the only cable box from Insight with advanced output options seems to be the HD-DVR box that comes with the Digital+HD+HD-DVR packages.
