I recently moved and I stored my screen in a very bad manner and now it is full of wrinkles. It is a Da-Lite Cinema Vision screen which is made of vinyl. I need some suggestions on how to remove the many, many wrinkles, or should I just bite the bullet and get a new one?

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

What kind of frame does your screen use?

I had a problem with wrinkles with my Draper screen - similar vinyl-like material.

I got the wrinkles out by using a normal clothes iron, with lots of steam and low heat.

Iron the non-viewing side of the screen. Do it on a flat surface, with a cloth with fine thread count in between the face of the iron and the screen surface.

When you're done, hopefully you can attach your screen while the material is still warm, and tension will take care of the rest!

Good luck,

- Steve O.

Steve-

Thanks for the reply. I have a Perm-Wall with a snap-on frame. I thought about using steam and an iron but I wasn't sure if I could use it on a vinyl screen. I'm leaning toward getting a new screen at this point so I guess I have nothing to loose. I will try ironing it with a very low heat and steam and see what happens.
