Hey guys, my tv does not display 720p. Only 1080i.

Problem 2, my tv's component video inputs are messed. HDMI is working fine though.

My question is, if I buy this: Jvc Rxd411s receiver, will I be able to plug the 360 into the receiver via component, and HDMi out on the receiver to my tv and see 1080i picture?

Does the 360 upconvert 720p to 1080i? or would the receiver do that?

I would bet that this reciever would do what you want. It says in the description:

# Video Signal Up-Conversion (to HDMI) for single-cable output of high-quality video from any input terminals

BUT, you wouldn't need to upconvert anything. I believe all you would have to do is set the XBox 360 to 1080i on the display menu, and you should be good to go with this reciever. I ASSUME, I don't know for sure, as I don't know about this reciever.

Have you searched the AVS forum on this reciever?
