will it look better than the demo? or is the demo the final build

Demo is fairly darn close to the final build.

It's a good looking game, but it's not really anything like they showed originally other than it being in a canyon/desert type setting.

Check out this video (http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=15401&type=mov&pl=game)

It is a direct comparison of the E3 target render and the retail version.

The game is a far stretch away from looking like the rendered cgi shown during E3 that Sony claimed was real time. Motorstorm doesn't look like that. It does, however, look pretty damn good on its own. It runs great and plays fantastic too. A bit limited options wise, but otherwise its a great racer.

Some of the real time cut scenes look close to the E32k5 video, but the in game graphics aren't even close.

Damn gametrailers is really putting the spotline on Sony. First the GOW vs Resistance video.. now this versus video.

I love the head 2 head stuff because it really does cut all the fanboy shyt out. What you see is what you get.

Here's a realtime cutscene from Motorstorm:

Like I've said, sure it isn't in game, but it's still gorgeous.

Of course not. Developers lie via screenshots and video and E3 was where they did their level best to deceive everyone.

IMO it comes closer to the target CGI than any other next gen game. I have yet to see a racer on either console come close to what the developers of Motorstorm has accomplished. Truly an amazing experiene :)

I was far more impressed with Grand Turismo HD demo than with Motorstorm demo. I haven't seen the retail version though.

Motostorm demo kicks ass, only thing they really need to adjust is the crash rate. Its crazy you cant jump over a 2 foot gap without the game blowing your car up.

The game really plays to the PS3's strong points which are rendering distance ,and having a tons of models on the screen at the same time with no slow down.

There is no way it could look as good as what they showed at E3 05. Not a chance.
These promotional trailers are designed to build hype and have no relation to reality.

Well, they promoted the game with that music video they made...and that looked much better than the actual game.
Some story there...promotional trailers always look better than final product. They are marketing materials designed to build up hype.

If Sony nails the online gaming portion, this game will offer something that the 360 currently doesn't have. Dont get me wrong, I know that the 360 has a huge software library, but I really believe this game offers something a little different, something any racing game fan can enjoy. But without a solid online game, MS fans will be disapointed no matter what. I am thinking that if Sony screws up the online play, for the next year, every F'ing MS fanboy will be saying "Motorstorm is a great game, but to bad the online play sucks..."

yeah its a nice game..i hope it gets polished, but im worried about how deep does the game go? replay value is very important for a great online experience

"replay value"... , well you will be racing against other people just like any online car race game.

I could of sworn I saw PGR tournaments on the G4 station a few months back. They looked like there were having fun. It seemed like online racing had caught on.

Yeah, they should include sword fights. That would be like totally cool. :D
