Wonder if anyone can clue me in...

If you haven't seen my other posts, I'm buidling a basement room-within-a-room. Two walls will be double plate/double stud (the other two will go against the foundation walls).

I am trying to determine if I should use Green Glue on the outside walls in addition to green glue on the inside (I am using 5/8" sheetrock on all 4 layers). This will add approx $350 to the cost of the project, assuming 2 tubes/sheet. I spoke with Ted White at Green Glue (Thanks, Ted), but while he did say that there would be addiitonal improvement by using Green Glue on both walls, he couldn't give me any numbers.

Anyone have any data they can share?

Additionally, what sort of improvement would I see going from 2 tubes to 3 per sheet?

Thanks,

Steve

Go to the Green Glue website and download the pdf's, they're very helpful. I think one of the articles mention that using up to four tubes per 4x8 sheet will greatly improve the performance. While more than four would diminish the effectiveness of GG.
