I believe it's just getting hammered because of extra traffic due to CES.

I've been getting this also off and on the last week. I couldn't get on at all today until tonight.

These type of posts belong in "forum operations" forum. I believe new servers were being added. Highly unlikely it was going smoothly - it never seems to. :) Also, CES time is always busy here.
