Hi everyone,

I have Vista setup and setup media center edition to the 360. Its really slow, maybe I have to much in my shared folders? The other thing I dont like is in Music it doesnt let you sort by folders, only artists, genres etc so I cant find anything. Should I switch to Media Player 11 or are there ways to tweak this.

Could be a bunch of things, how are you connected? I just recently set up my PC with media center to my 360 ( before i got red lights of death) and had to change up a bunch of settings to get it to run smoothly. You have all the service enabled that you need? Did you try running the optimization when it checks how your connection is?

Yes it said it was poor but I fixed that on my network side, maybe I need to rerun that

That could be why it's slow tho. You on wireless? One minute it could be poor, then the next fine. I have mine set up with my 360 ethernet directly into the PC in my basement, then i have the PC down here getting a signal from wilrelss router upstairs. Never had a problem tho BUT i did at first with it being slow as hell cause i didn't have certain services and most of the media center stuff enabled on my anti-virus.

wireless was really slow for me. went to wired and worked wonders (this was a laptop).

I use TVersity (XP) and it works really good.. But does the Vista one atleast stream any video? Or is it only certain mpgs and wmv?
