I just got a Sam 6188. I notice on the vertical black side bars they looked slightly bowed. A little more so towards the top.

I notice bowing on the Miller Lite commercial when Burt Reynolds and the guys are sitting in that glass partition room. When I look at the dividers near the outer edge of my screen, I see they are bowing outwards. I called Tweeter tonight and a salesman took my name and number and is going to send a service tech out. Do you know what the problem is and can it be fixed by a tech?

Anyone know what this is. Is it a fault or characteristic of the set?

Interested in this as well for a 46E2000.

4:3 Content shown on HD channels has vertical black bars of course. These bars are not an equal width. Mine are narrower at the bottom and also bulge slightly in the middle, giving a convex (or concave depending on bars/screen) look.

Source? HD Receiver? Monitor?

I have this on my KDF-42e2000. I've seen this so far on each Sony LCD RP set.
