Just wondering something:
I downloaded the Motorstorm demo today and noticed that it outputs at 720p. Is this normal?

I have a Pioneer Elite 1130HD and it supports up to 1080i! I thought the PS3 could output at 1080i...

Yes. The game is 720p.

PS3 can output upto 1080p if the game supports it. It does not scale the output.

The demo is only 720p.

The final U.S. release MotorStorm will do 1080p and 12 multi-player. Too bad the 1130HD only goes to 1080i :p

What!?! 1080P and 60 fps? The demo is 720P and has a bit of framerate issues, if they can pull off 1080P and 60 fps this game will be lengendary. I hope that demo girl isnt just blowing smoke! :confused:

I would love to believe that Motorstorm is going to run in 1080p at 60fps but the girl being interviewed seemed really sketchy, "60 frame rates per second"? I have a 1080p set and am very dissapointed that I can only get 720p out of the PS3, my 360 has no trouble making Gears of War look unfreakin believable in upscaled 1080p through VGA. I am really looking forward to motorstorm, here is to hoping that it will be in 1080p at 60fps. Anyone out there able to confirm this in tech specs or realeas information on the web?

Not to be mean but the Sony girl in that video would not know the difference between 720p and 1080p if it jumped out of the screen and yelled it in her face . She was totally clueless and I highly doubt that any of the information she was spreading was truly accurate (other than maybe the 1 million shipped) . She is saying it is 1080p and 60 fps while also saying it is a downloadable demo from the PS store , we all know the demo is not 1080p and I do not recall anybody claiming the Japanese release is 1080p either . I am not trying to be negative here but lets not take what this obviously very 'noob' sales rep says as golden , heck she works for Sony and most of us know more ;) .

Yeah I got a feeling she has no idea what shes talking about. But that sure would be nice.

The japanese version is 720P. The North American version will be 720P. The game does not run in 60fps as stated by Evolution Studios in an article in the last issue of Official US Playstation Magazine.
