What is the norm regarding theater seating layout? What I am trying to figure out is the distance needed from the front of the seat to the back of the seat in front of you. Taking into account the reclining, you legs hanging off the fot rest and still being able to have a small walk way by.

I was doing the layout as 5ft. is that too much??

It's really personal preference. 5' is probably what I'm going to go with -- take a look at the Riser Height sticky thread...it may help you make a decision based on your throw / target picture size.

In a perfect world everybody would sit through the entire movie. But, just when you get comfy, someone needs to use the rest room or get a snack.
The question - is there enough room in your personalized custom theater to remain in the most comfortable viewing position ever, without having to move or can you live with moving every time nature calls a friend? :rolleyes:
