My friend just got a new Xbox 360, and is running it on a simple old 25" CRT via composite inputs.

He tried to run Fantastic Four with the DTS 5.1 soundtrack, but there was no sound coming. We attempted to try Elektra with DTS, with no luck as well.

Is there something he needs to update with his settings? Dolby Digital works fine; its just the few DTS movies that have no sound.

DTS is added and should be in the next dashboard update, or so we have been told.

Whether or not it will be in for Standard DVD is a question not asked but I would assume it would be, it was put in on request of the HD-DVD drive owners.

I find DTS works with a receiver though. Does DTS only not work with stereo output?

I tested a PS3 as well; it was able to successfully use the DTS soundtrack.
